• Verona is another city in the region of Veneto.

• The city is situated on the Adige river.

• It has a population of around 265,000.

• The city has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO.

Verona is perhaps most famous for being the setting of Romeo and Juliet. • This play was written by William Shakespeare between 1591 and

1595.

• However, two more of Shakespeare’s plays are set in Verona: The Taming of the Shrew and The Two Gentleman of Verona.

Turin

• Turin is a large city in Northern Italy.

• Turin is sometimes called the chocolate capital of Europe.

• Today, the city of Turin and Piedmont produce 40% of the total Italian chocolate produced.

• This is equal to 85,000 tons of chocolate a year!

• A famous type of Turin Chocolate is the gianduiotto.
