This diagram is useful when designing a room layout, as certain points, called Marma Sthanas (Head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, chest, stomach & genitals) are an important of the body parts Avoid (Pillers, Columns & Walls) placing heavy items on them. The central area is left free. The purusha comprises a multilayered system of grids, which maps the movement of energy through any given space. The image of Vastu Purusha symbolizes the cosmos, encapsulating all the energies at work within it. Represents the earth & then foundation of existence. According to Vastu, the energies of the universes are balanced within a square structure.
