Thank you, families, for sending your children to us each evening. We enjoyed singing, playing games, crafts and teaching your children about Jesus. All children that participated in VBS will sing 2 songs this morning and we will watch a slide show from the week. VBS Thank You THANK YOU,to all those who have given of their time and helped with Vacation Bible School. Thank you to those who helped at work days. Thank you to those who provided snacks, drinks and craft items. Thank you to those who volunteered each evening. Our church is full of people who selflessly give of their time and resources, and their love for VBS, children, and the church shines through their actions. Steve’s Scoop On Seniors “Let the good times roll!” This is what I feel about what is happening at Cornerstone. Just a month ago, before Dee and I took off on a northern vacation, The Senior Adults of our congregation hosted a Barbecue and Hymn Sing event on a Sunday night. It was fantastic! Around seventy people came out for a delicious meal and a great time singing the old hymns and praising God. Several people have already requested we do it again and we will sometime this fall. As I write this article, we are in the middle of our Vacation Bible School. What a blast we are having! I have been working in VBS’s for about fifty years now and I still love working with young people. The Psalmist wrote, “I was young and now I am old,” and I say the same thing, but I never get tired of working with young souls. It is also good to see other Seniors who are serving in this year’s VBS. I hope you will be at Cornerstone this Sunday to catch the excitement of “Hero Central” where we learned about our strength in God. Cornerstone Christian Church (772) 567-0085 July 23, 2017

Lake Aurora Summer Camp Summer camp isn’t quite over yet, you can still attend a couple weeks. Register online and get a ‘Lake Aurora Buck’ from Jolene Santoro to save on your cost. The summer theme is Christ’s Relentless Love. If you need financial assistance, talk to an Elder. We never want the tuition to keep a child from attending camp.

Donated Food We have been blessed to receive bakery goods weekly from our local Publix grocery store. It is available each Tuesday at 9:00 AM. If you want to receive a

weekly e-mail or text when the food arrives at the building, please talk to Ralph Santoro. We also receive eggs/etc most weeks. Budget The Elders are working on the budget for the next Fiscal Year (Oct ’17 – Sep ‘18). To ensure unity, they are welcoming input from the congregation during the month of August. Please see Ed, Dale, Aaron, or William to share your thoughts. You can also attend the 8/10 and 8/24 Elder meetings. We plan to finalize the budget by 8/31 and have it available for congregational review throughout September. Our desire is to have all financial discussion completed in advance of our annual business meeting on Sunday 9/24, where the budget will be voted on for approval.
