10 important dos of Vaastu

Here are the most important dos of Vaastu that when adhered to will surely bring in

good luck and prosperity!

1.Make sure the plot used to build a house is square, rectangular, circle or oval

shaped.

2.Place the bed in such a way that your head points in any direction, except north.

3.Let your kitchen face east. Simple commonsense shows that this means more light

and brightness.

4.Have more number of windows facing East and North than those facing West and

South.

5.Again, leave more open space (if it is an independent house with a compound wall)

in the East and North.

6.Place your kitchen in the South-east and the bed room to the West or South West.

7.Place your pooja room to the North-east

8.Have your water (pipelines) flow from South to North or from West to East.

Page 2: Vasthu - 10 important dos of Vaastu, 8p

9.Place your safe or cash box in the North.

10.Let your children have their bedrooms in the North and East zones of your

house.

The road to success is not straight.

There is a curve called Failure,

A loop called Confusion,

Speed bumps called Friends,

Red lights called Enemies,

Caution lights called Family.

You will have flats called Jobs.

But, if you have a spare called Determination,

An engine called Perseverance,

Insurance called Faith,

A driver called God,

You will make it to a place called Success.

Ten things God won't ask:

1...God won't ask what kind of car you drove;

He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2...God won't ask the square footage of your house,

He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3...God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet,

He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

4...God won't ask what your highest salary was,

He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5...God won't ask what your job title was,

He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

Page 3: Vasthu - 10 important dos of Vaastu, 8p

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6...God won't ask how many friends you had,

He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7...God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,

He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8...God won't ask about the color of your skin,

He'll ask about the content of your character.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9...God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation,

He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the

gates of Hell.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10...God won't ask how many people did you share with this,

He'll ask if you were ashamed to share it with your friends.

Give me a new idea, I said,

While musing on a sleepless bed;

A new idea that'll bring to earth

A balm for souls of priceless worth;

That'll give men thoughts of things above,

And teach them how to serve and love,

That'll banish every selfish thought,

And rid men of the sins they've fought.

The new thought came, just houw, I'll tell;

'Twas when on bended knee I fell,

And sought from HIM who knows full well

The way our sorrow to expel.

SEE GOD IN ALL THINGS, great and small,

And give HIM praise whate'er befall,

In life or death, in pain or woe,

See God, and overcome they foe.

I saw HIM in the morning light,

HE made the day shine clear and bright;

I saw HIM in the noontide hour,

And gained from HIM refreshing shower,.

At eventide, when worn and sad,

HE gave me help, and made me glad.

At midnight, when on tossing bed

My weary soul to sleep HE led.

I saw HIM when great losses came,

And found HE loved me just the same.

When heavy loads I had to bear.

I found HE lightened every care.

By sickness, sorrow, sore distress,

HE calmed my mind and gave me rest/

HE's filled my heart with gladsome praise

Since I gave HIM the upward gaze.

'Twas new to me, yet old to some,

This thought that to me has become

A revelation of the way

We all should live throughout the day;

For as each day unfolds its light,

We'll walk by faith and not by sight.

Life will, indeed, a blessing bring,

If we SEE GOD IN EVERYTHING. God: Hello. Did you call me?

Page 5: Vasthu - 10 important dos of Vaastu, 8p

Me: Called you? No.. who is this?

God: This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.

Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of

something..

God: What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.

Me: Don't know. But I cant find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the

time.

God: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes

time. Productivity frees it.

Me: I understand. But I still cant figure it out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to

buzz me on instant messaging chat.

God: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net

era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me: why are we then constantly unhappy?

God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying

because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not

happy.

Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?

God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty..

God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?

God: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire.

Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life becomes

better not bitter.

Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?

Page 6: Vasthu - 10 important dos of Vaastu, 8p

God: Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the

lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from

problems?

God: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance

Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are

free from problems.

Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading..

God: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking

outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides

insight.

Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right

direction. What should I do?

God: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by

you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work

with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

God: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always

count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Me: What surprises you about people?

God: when they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why

me". Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the

truth.

Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.

God: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking

for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a

process of creation.

Me: How can I get the best out of life?

God: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the

future without fear.

Page 7: Vasthu - 10 important dos of Vaastu, 8p

Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

God: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.

Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the New Day with a new

sense of inspiration.

God: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your

beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if

you know how to live.

Stay positive and always keep smiling!!

Yoga and Kundalini

In the Hindu tradition, kundalini is spiritual energy presumed to reside at the base of the

spine. When it is awakened by practices such as yoga, it rises like a serpent up the spine,

and opens the chakras' psychic centers situated along the spine from the tailbone to the

top of the head.

As each chakra opens, new levels of consciousness are revealed. Since the consciousness

of most people is fairly restricted, the opening of the chakras is accompanied by

consciousness expansion and purification of the limitations or impurities that correspond

to each chakra.

(Brant Cortright, PhD, Psychotherapy and Spirit, p. 161)

As kundalini rises, it is associated with physical symptoms including:

sensations of heat

tremors

involuntary laughing or crying

talking in tongues

nausea, diarrhea or constipation

rigidity or limpness

animal-like movements and sounds

Kundalini arousal most commonly occurs as an unintentional side-effect of yoga,

meditation, qi gong. or other intensive spiritual practices. Some theorists consider

psychotherapy, giving birth, unrequited love, celibacy, deep sorrow, high fever, and drug

intoxication to be triggers. Some believe kundalini awakening can occur spontaneously

without apparent cause

MIRROR-IMAGE MEDITATION (REFLECTIVE)

The austere practice of mental concentration against one’s own reflection in a mirror is a

kind of meditation known as the Mirror-Image Meditation (Reflective Meditation) or

Mirror-Image Penance described as Kannadi Thavam in Tamil.

The Mirror-Image Meditation is the supreme form of meditation, which enables the

person meditating to generate within himself an enormous amount of magnetic power.

Page 8: Vasthu - 10 important dos of Vaastu, 8p

The entire dimension of an object will become deeply etched in the mind if one focuses

in his vision and though in rapt concentration upon that particular object. This indeed will

be tantamount to sheer exhaustion of human power. On the other hand, if the mental

concentration is wholly focused on the Supreme Being, namely God, the electro-

magnetic power will eventually become pre-focused and will be imprinted as divine-

magnetic power in one’s mind.

During the stern process of Mirror-Image Meditation, one’s prowess and vigor will

become registered in the image reflected in the mirror in front of which one carries out

such solemn exercise. Thus the prowess and vigor in turn get permeated easily in due

course throughout the body.

Although there are many facets of Mirror Meditation, it infact is a simple but a stern

discipline. It is especially appropriate for those in the elementary stage of practice. It is

precisely a matter of just twelve minutes systematic exercise

Mode of Practice

Stand firmly five feet away from the mirror and focus your vision on your full physical

image for two minutes in absolute concentration. Then trap your eyes closed with your

hands for two minutes. Fill mentally within yourself, your entire physical image, which

you had been perceiving earlier in the mirror. You have to do this repeatedly thrice. This

is how Reflective or Mirror Meditation is to be practiced.

Symptom

When you are engrossed in this kind of austere practice, you will find a hazy image as

though it is covered with or concealed in foamy cotton. It is highly appropriate to

visualize physical image in the mirror presuming as though it is either that one’s own

Guru or that of the Supreme Being.
