Dr. Carlos Neves is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. He completed Fellowship training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey. He received his medical degree at Rutgers University/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and did a surgical internship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he also completed his Surgical residency.

Dr. Neves joined Beebe in 2015. He specializes in both open and endovascular (minimally invasive) repair of aneurysm disease as well as carotid artery surgery for stroke prevention. He offers percutaneous or incision-less repair of aortic aneurysms. Other areas of interest include: complex lower extremity endovascular reconstructions with minimally invasive procedure with balloon angioplasty, atherectomy and stenting for peripheral arterial disease, complex lower extremity bypass procedures, carotid artery stenting, hemodialysis access, placement and retrieval of IVC filters, and treatment of varicose veins and all types of venous disorders. Dr. Neves also received training in the evaluation and minimally invasive treatment for pelvic congestion syndrome.

Dr. Sean Ryan is Fellowship Trained in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He received his medical degree at Rutgers University/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. He completed his Surgical residency at Christiana Care Health System. He spent an extra year of training during his residency in a laboratory to work on tissue regeneration and teaching anatomy at the University of Delaware.

Dr. Ryan joined Beebe Healthcare in 2015. He specializes in both open and endovascular (minimally invasive) repair of aneurysm disease. He offers percutaneous or incision-less repair of aortic aneurysms. Other areas of clinical interest include: complex endovascular treatments—balloon angioplasty, atherectomy, stenting—of peripheral arterial disease, lower extremity revascularization (bypass) procedures, carotid artery surgery and stenting, permanent hemodialysis access for end-stage renal disease, placement and retrieval of IVC filters, and the management of the full spectrum of venous disease, including treatment of varicose veins of the legs and reticular (spider) veins of the hands, arms, and legs. Dr. Ryan also received training in the evaluation and surgical management of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).

Dr. M. L. Ray Kuretu is Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., and completed Fellowship training in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, and a Special Fellowship of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He served as both an attending surgeon and assistant professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Hahnemann for 28 years. He has performed more than 8,000 surgeries in his career, and as Director of Cardiothoracic Fellowships, he has trained more than 400 surgeons. He was formerly the Medical Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pa., and was a Visiting Scholar in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Brooke General and Guys Hospital in London.

Kurt E. Wehberg, MD, a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained cardiothoracic surgeon, has joined Beebe Healthcare as Co-Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Chief of Robotics, and Vice President of Clinical Innovation. Dr. Wehberg received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., and completed his residency in General Surgery at University of Maryland Medical System. He earned a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery from University of Maryland Medical System. Dr. Wehberg is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Wehberg is leading Beebe’s new Surgical Robotics program. Previous to Beebe, Dr. Wehberg served as the Medical Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program, the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Director of Robotic Cardiothoracic Surgery at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. He was a founder of both the Thoracic Oncology and Robotic Cardiothoracic Surgery programs and led all three programs to national recognition.

Dr. Barry S. Denenberg is Board Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He received a B.S. in Biology from Albright College. His internship, residency, and Fellowship were at Temple University Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a member of the Federation of Clinical Research, and a Fellow at the American College of Physicians. His sub-specialties are non-invasive cardiology and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. R. Alberto Rosa received his medical degree from the University of Santo Domingo in his native Dominican Republic. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, served as Chief Medical Resident, and completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Rosa has practiced cardiology in Sussex County since 1998. Dr. Rosa is trained in non-invasive cardiology, nuclear transesophageal echocardiograms, as well as invasive diagnostic procedures and pacemaker implantations. He is also a Certified Aviation Medical Examiner.

Dr. Kenneth Sunnergren is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami. He received his medical degree and Ph.D. in Physiology, from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Sunnergren is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at The Medical College of Virginia and his Cardiology Fellowship and Molecular Cardiology post-Doctoral Fellowship at The University of Texas, South Western Medical Center, Dallas. Before joining the medical staff at Beebe, he served as Assistant Professor in Medicine in Cardiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Cooper Hospital, and was Chief of Cardiology at Episcopal Hospital, Philadelphia. He performs diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker and device implants, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, stress testing, and interpretations of vascular tests.

Dr. Sing joined Beebe Healthcare in 2016. Prior to joining Beebe Healthcare, Dr. Sing served as Attending Physician for Interventional Cardiology and Emergenecy Services at the New York Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Elmhurst Hospital in New York, Bellevue Hospital in New York, and New York University School of Medicine. He also served as the Director of Heart and Vascular Laboratories at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del., for more than a decade.
