My name is Vanessa Orozco, I am born and raised in Pico Rivera, CA. As a young girl, I have always been interested in the production of clothes. On summer vacation, instead of watching tv all day my mother would buy me fabric to make clothes for my barbies. It wasn't until after high school when I volunteered at a college theatre that I really became intrigued in thedesign of clodesign of clothing. That’s when the direction of my career changed. I have been fortunate enough to intern and work for many of our local companies in Los Angeles and have gained hands-on experience. This collection was inspired by both of my grandmothers. Looking back at photos of themat a younger age, I noticed the design and colors of their outfits. I really wanted to incorporate their spirit into my designs.
