ANTI-GRAFFITI COATINGTo prevent damage to Vandal Panels™, Talius offers an optional non-sacrificial anti-graffiti coating designed to allow for easy clean-up of graffiti from the Vandal Panel™ surfaces. Talius anti-graffiti coating is a modified aliphatic-polyurethane coating with enhanced abrasion resistance to provide resistance to chemicals, abrasions and impact. Anti-graffiti coating is a clear coat that provides a gloss finish over stock and custom colours, and offers colour retention and a non-stick surface. It is applied with a dry film thickness of 1.0 - 2.0 mils (25-50 microns). Hardness: ASTM D3363, 2H. Solvent Resistance: ASTM D4752, 100 MEK rubs; NO failure. Abrasion Resistance: 1000 cycles CS-17, ASTM D4060, 32 mg loss. Impact Resistance: ASTM D2794, 40 in lbs; NO failure. Flexibility: ASTM D522, 1/8” mandrel blend; NO failure.All Talius Vandal Panels™ applied with Talius anti-graffiti coating can be cleaned easily saving money on maintenance.

SPECIFICATIONSPanel: Perforated panels made from 3.175 mm (1/8”) 3030 H14 aluminum sheet. Perforations are die punched 6.35 mm (1/4”) diameter holes, on 9.53 mm (3/8”) centres, with 9.53 mm (3/8”) offset rows and a panel openness factor of 42%.Frame: The Vandal Panel™ frame structure is made from 6065T5 aluminum extrusion with a wall thickness of 1.3 mm (0.050”). Nominal size of the extrusion is 38 mm wide by 13 mm high (1 1/2” x 1/2”) with a 19 mm (3/4”) open channel for perforated panel penetration and 19 mm (3/4”) hollow section for hardware mounting. Mounting-side of frame incorporates two tracks for slide-on aluminum build-up.Build-Up: If applicable, heavy-guage aluminum build-up can be applied to the back of the frame on all four sides 35 mm (1 3/8”) wide with depth specified as per the Vandal Panel™ schedule.Finish: All fixed panel components are cleaned, sealed and custom painted with a pure two-component polyurethane paint system, utilizing aliphatic isocyanate reated with resin polyols.Minimum dry film thickness 2.5 mil (65 microns).

BUILD-UPTo make your installation of Vandal Panels™ plumb and level, Talius offers two sizes of aluminum build-up: 3/8” and 7/8” (9.5 mm and 22 mm). The most popular combinations are shown and priced out in the table below. For greater build-up depths, contact Talius for alternative components. All Vandal Panel™ frames include 1/4” (6.5 mm) build-up. Half of this depth will be reduced when the first layer of build up is added. The resulting depths of the various build-up combinations are shown in the table below.

CUSTOM COLOURSVandal Panels™ are designed to harmonize with your property and are available in your choice of over 1800 Benjamin Moore custom colours. We recommend Window Grey or Window Green as shown below. These two colours blend the best with window surfaces.

To select your custom paint colour, refer to the Benjamin Moore paint fan and indicate the paint name and number when placing your order.
