1. Grade 12 or higher level English course:• High school English 12: C (or equivalent) from an English speaking country• University or college level English course (non-ESL): C from an institution where English is the language of instruction
2. Proof of four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized institution where English is the principle language of the country and the language of instruction
3. English Language Test: (only valid for two years)• TOEFL: 64 iBT, 180 CBT, or 520 PBT• IELTS: Academic version 5.0 (with no band score less than 5) • TOEIC: 500 • LPI: 3• VPC English Proficiency Exam: 60%
HOW TO APPLY You can find the application form in this package. Follow the following steps when you are ready to apply. If you require further information, please contact the College by email: [email protected] or by phone: 604-730-1628. 1. Complete and submit the application form 2. Pay the non-refundable application fee 3. Submit the following documents:
• Official high-school or college/university transcripts and/or diploma (translated into English, if necessary)Note: Student applying as a mature student must submit his or her most recent high school transcript before he or she can be interviewed by the Director of Education or Education Assistant. Students who cannot provide a copy of the transcript must show proof of his or her activitiessince his/her last attempt at high school, such as work experience, College courses attempted etc.
• Proof of English Proficiency • Statement of Intent (only for Senior Living Management Certificate program) • Proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (if applicable)
4. VPC will issue the following: • Official acknowledgment of your application (this does not guarantee admission to the program) • A receipt for the application fee • Student Enrollment Contract with statement of fees when the admission requirements are met
5. Submit the appropriate fees and signed Student Enrollment Contract 6. VPC will issue a welcome letter with further information on the College, and for International Students, an official Letter of Acceptance to apply
for a study permit.
7. Submit the following on or before arrival: • Two passport photos • A photocopy of photo I.D. (original must be presented as well) • A copy of your medical insurance(all students are required to obtain medical coverage during their study in Canada) • A valid study permit (if applicable)
NOTE: To be able to start and continue attending classes, students must be admitted to the College, sign their Student Enrollment Contract, pay their fees due under the contract, and complete their course registration process before the 3rd class commences. Students who miss this deadline will NOT be able to attend classes until the next available intake start date.
