    San Francisco Sunday Street

    Testimonials:

Kevin Carroll, executive directorof the Fisherman's Wharf

    Community Benefit District, said

the event delivered a nice surge

    in business Sunday.

"This is a great way to get locals

out and show them what you

    can do in the neighborhood,"

Carroll said. "We think this will

have a life well after today."

For Susan Jeiven, 50, of San

    Francisco, the street closure was

not to be missed, even if she

was hobbled by a recent bunionsurgery that kept her confined

    to a wheelchair.

"If it weren't for the street

closure, I'd be road-kill forsure," she said.
