Welcome to Hopewell Valley!

We are excited and pleased to host The Stampede here in our community. This public art exhibit provides visitors and residents a delightful opportunity to enjoy these colorful works of art as they graze along our roadsides, by our storefronts, and within some of our many places of interest.

Each of the 68 life-size oxen has been creatively decorated by local and regional artists and we are proud to celebrate the talents in our midst! A true community effort has brought The Stampede to fruition, and we suggest you take time to learn more about the artists and sponsors at www.hvartscouncil.org.

Hopewell Valley is a place which offers great history, recreational opportunities, interesting shops and antique stores, charm and natural beauty, and fabulous farm markets and restaurants that exhibit the bounty of the Garden State; we hope you take some time to learn about and visit what we have to offer.

We are pleased that the Hopewell Valley Arts Council is working to bring the arts to a new level of attention in our community. The Stampede has the potential to raise significant financial and community support through the sale of the oxen. Proceeds will help the new Hopewell Valley Arts Council bring a greater presence of the arts to Hopewell Valley.

We hope you enjoy this unique, inspiring and generous partnership among artists, residents and the local business community as we join the Arts Council in celebrating art in the everyday.
