Valletta glass was set up by Mr Paul Said as a family joint venture, some 35 years ago and from humble origins the brand Valletta Glass has become synonymous with artistic excellence, quality and craftsmanship in Malta and overseas.

Mr Said, who is still heavily involved in the managing of the business, has been an active upholder of the craftsmanship trade and have always, emphasized the importance to promote the Maltese handcrafts with foreigners. He has built and maintained a close relationship with other craftsmen and has contributed significantly to the survival and continuity of the ancient tradition of hand made art.

Paul is a keen believer in the beauty of simplicity and he believes that dreams can be expressed through art. Indeed since a very young age, he has been attracted to the Venetian Murano glass movement which in particular makes great use of glass, producing colored vases and similar pieces often in fused glass and also using glass blowing techniques.

The company, established in 1979, has always operated from its premises located in the Ta Qali Crafts Village which include a work shop producing high standard custom designed glassware and two adjacent retail shops. Thousands of tourists are welcomed each year in our retail shops where they assist a live demonstration

of glass blowing as we combine and exploit the glass aesthetic qualities of transparency, translucence, fluid form and texture with its inherent structural strengths and architectural qualities.

Today our company has evolved, grown and diversified but still our commitment remain to always provide quality artistic works that exceed one’s expectations. The journey continues.

THE CREATIONS

THE MASTER CRAFTSMANPaul Said is a keen believer in the beauty of simplicity. He believes that dreams can be expressed through art. Valletta Glass is an innovative design based studio with an unrivalled reputation instandard and bespoke art glass products and decorative architectural solutions. Valletta Glass combines and exploits the glass’ aesthetic qualities of transparency, translucence, fluid form and texture with its inherent structural strengths and architectural qualities.

Valletta Glass creations are the result of Mediterranean design coupled with traditional European glassblowing and fusion techniques. Valletta Glass is well equipped to understand the far reaching potential of glass with many years experience, extensive technical knowledge and imaginative approach.
