Thesis

• The speaker was Paul Root Wolpe, he spoke of today’s bio-engineered experiments and the possibilities of what’s to come.

Page 3: Valle_Frederick_TED_Talk

Got My Attention

• Paul grabbed my attention with the images he would show of the experiments that were done with bio-engineering.

Got My Attention

• Paul throughout his speech would change from one subject to another but still stay in the same topic and speak of all the different types of experiment that have been done and would provide images of all of them.

TED Commandment

• The commandment that he mostly followed was the the third

• Make the Complex Plain

Page 7: Valle_Frederick_TED_Talk

TED Commandment

• He followed the Third one the most because he simplified bio-engineering and how much could be done with it.

Dynamism

• If I had to rate Paul on dynamism id say a 2

Page 9: Valle_Frederick_TED_Talk

Dynamism

• The only reason that its low is because he wasn’t shown much in the video and had images more than anything. The times he was shown he seemed very into what he was talking about.

What I’ve Learned

• I’ve learned from watching Paul was to have images to help explain what is being said so that the audience isn't completely confused.

What I’ve Learned

• To do lots of research before speaking about your subject and not to only have one thing but to have multiple subjects.

• For Example he would speak of cross breading animals to being able to get bioluminescence genes and be able to put those genes into any living things such as dogs, cats, pigs, monkeys, etc.

Paul Root Wolpe VS Sir Ken Robinson

• There is a big comparison between Wolpe and Robinson and that was Robinson liked to tell stories and make jokes to keep the audience feel more comfortable to be there. Wolpe told a few jokes but not like Robinson where he made mad the audience laugh and Wolpe didn’t.

Paul Root Wolpe VS Sir Ken Robinson

• Wolpe spoke more about the experiments and his topic where Robison did but also didn’t and would speak of others things but then go back to the topic.

Paul Root Wolpe VS Sir Ken Robinson

• It did seem like Robinson had more energy than Wolpe throughout the speech even though both were very interesting topics I feel like Wolpe could have put a little more energy

Tips

• To maintain the same topic but have multiple subject on what is being said, same example I used before how he went from one thing to another but yet kept it in the same area.

Page 17: Valle_Frederick_TED_Talk

Tips

• To use many images to help explain what is being said.

Page 18: Valle_Frederick_TED_Talk

Tips

• To relate your subject to the audience a little to grab more of there attention.
