There was a time when we sailed on togetherOnce had a dream that we shared on the wayThere was a place where we used to seek shelterI never knew the pain of the price I would pay

You led me on with a cloak and a daggerAnd I didn't know you had made other plansYou had me believe we were meant for foreverI really thought my heart would be safe in your handsLorelei

My ship has passed you byAnd though you promised me to show the wayYou led me astrayYou were my LoreleiWhat kind of fool was ICause I believed in every word you saidAnd now I wonder whyLorelei

There was a time when we held one anotherBearing our souls in the light of the flame

Those were the days now I've lost my illusionsSometimes I wake in the night and I call out your name

LoreleiMy ship has passed you byAnd though you promised me to show the wayYou led me astrayYou were my LoreleiWhat kind of fool was ICause I believed in every word you saidAnd now I wonder whyLorelei

Now there's a light that shines on the riverBlinding my eyes from so far awayShot through the heart but now I know betterAs hard as it is to resist the song that you play

Oh LoreleiMy ship has passed you byAnd though you promised me to show the wayYou led me astrayYou were my LoreleiWhat kind of fool was ICause I believed in every word you saidAnd now I wonder whyLorelei
