THE TRUTH ABOUT SAFETY GLASSES AND GOGGLES 1. Expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. It sometimes means there is a bigger marketing budget or unamortized R&D to support. We don't over-spend on marketing, have an efficient R&D team, don't have excessive overhead, and don't mark-up our glasses for high profits. As a result, we can offer factory direct, custom produced, high quality safety glasses & goggles at low prices. 2. Cheap prices don't always mean cheap quality. We don't have to compromise on quality to offer competitive prices. Our glasses are manufactured by one of the top factories in Asia, and our lead designer was formally the senior design engineer for world renowned Zeiss Optics in Germany. We take no short-cuts on production processes, maintain stringent QC standards and use only the best quality materials. 3. ANSI certification does not guarantee that the glasses you buy are safe. Unfortunately, in order to reduce costs, some manufacturers cut corners in production processes, quality control or materials used after receiving ANSI approval. However, we continuously explore improvements in technology and materials to enhance quality, and strive to ensure our glasses exceed not only U.S. ANSI Z87.1 safety standards, but also standards for Canada (CSA), Europe (CE) and Japan (JIS). 4. Better quality glasses should not have to be protected like precious china. Lenses should be shatter resistant both when subjected to high impact projectiles (flying fragments) as well as wide area compression (if you sit or stand on them by accident). Ours meet these simple tests. Do yours? 5. It's easier to put a label on a product than to actually include the indicated feature. Make sure your glasses really have UV protection, anti-fog coating, polycarbonate lenses, and ANSI Z87.1 certification.
