Lesson 1DECISION DIVIDE—where you receive the SaviorMeeting the Savior Luke 19:1-10

Televiewer News Scenes Pictures 1-1—1-4 illustrate details in the narrative about Zacchaeus receiving Jesus. They may be used as flash cards by mounting each picture on a piece of construction paper to make a frame. Stack them in the order of use. Move the front picture to the back as details progress. For extra interest appeal, make a televiewer and use the pictures as news scenes appearing on the screen. Assume the role of news reporter bringing campers a current event that happened in Jericho.

Make a viewing screen from an expansion folder. Draw around one of the visual pictures on the outside of the expansion folder. Cut on the lines to make a screen opening. Add buttons for the set from small lids found around the house. Spray paint them black and glue to the folder along the bottom under the screen opening. Use manila folders or poster board to make four pieces for mounting the scenes individually. Put a background piece into the expansion folder. Lightly mark on it the screen opening area. Remove and attach the visual picture over that area. Repeat for the other three pieces. To use the viewer, stack the scenes in the order of use. Place them all into the expansion folder with pictures fac-ing the screen. Begin your news report following the Bible account. Show the scenes in the development of the report. Simply remove the front picture to show the next scene when appropriate.

Memory Verse Poster Display John 1:12 poster as a visualization of “as many as received him.” People of every age and nationality are welcomed into the family of God when they repent of sin, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and accept His forgiveness to become children of God.

Lesson 2PRAYER POND—where you talk to the SaviorPraying like Jesus Matthew 26:36-56

Teaching Pictures The Garden of Gethsemane was a quiet place where Jesus often retreated with the disciples. He liked going

there for prayer. Use picture 2-1 as you share details of the Bible account. The Lesson Purpose is pictured in the collage of pictures on visual 2-2. Encourage campers to discuss how prayer can be a vital part of their lives wherever they are.

Memory Verse Poster The Memory Verse, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, is illustrated on picture 2-2. Philippians 4:6 is a Memory Challenge for pri-maries to learn. The meaning of the verse is—Don’t worry about anything, but tell God of your concerns with gratitude for what He will do.

Lesson 3FELLOWSHIP FOREST—where you meet other followers of the SaviorGrowing as Christians Acts 2:41-47

Early Church Panorama Cut apart the four strips of scenes 3-1—3-4. As you share the events of early church activities, put scenes end to end to make a continuous strip that will extend over 4' long when completed. Follow the Scripture account to know when to add the pictures to the display. Enlist campers in interactive learning by inviting them to participate in the lesson. Form four teams. (One camper can be a team.) Give each team one of the visuals. Give them the Bible reference for the account (Acts 2:41-47). Campers search and find the Bible verses the picture illus-trates. Direct them to discuss together what they should share about it. After a few minutes, call time. One team member from each group shares his findings and another member of the team attaches the picture to the panorama display with wall adhesive.

Memory Verse Poster The sweet fellowship enjoyed by God’s children as they walk together in unity is what Fellowship Forest theme is all about. God’s Word guides our lives through difficult times as well as happy times. Obeying God’s commands is walking in the light rather than in the darkness of sin. Use the poster to help campers understand the meaning of 1 John 1:7.

Lesson 4GLORIFY GEYSER—where you worship the SaviorLearning To Praise John 9:13-38

Flip Book Scenes 4-1—4-8 show the action involved in the Bible account of Jesus’ healing a blind man. Trim away margins and cut the pictures apart. Mount each on a half sheet of
