The LDV brand is an iconic one; its strongorigins as a much-loved British manufacturerwere founded in 1993.

Since then the company has had manymany highs and lows and sadly wasdisbanded in 2009.

However, the story is far from over! In afitting tribute to the many thousands ofcustomers and dedicated andhardworking staff that built the LDVbrand originally, it has been revived andwill once again become a familiar sight onthe streets across the UK and the world.

SAIC Motor – a fortune 500 companybased in Shanghai – are responsible forbringing LDV back to life in 2011 andmaking it the brand as we know it today.In 2014, SAIC produced close to6,000,000 vehicles for the domestic andexport markets, ranking it as the 7thlargest vehicle manufacturer in theworld, producing vehicles for internationalbrands such as VW and GM, alongwith its own iconic brands – MG and LDV.

The LDV brand has now beenre-launched in a number of internationalmarkets and is making significant stridesin re-establishing itself in Europe andother countries worldwide.

The Harris Group, one of Ireland’s mostrenowned vehicle importer distributorswith over 50 year’s experience withinthe commercial vehicle sector in Irelandand the UK, are proud to introduce thenew generation LDV V80 van rangefrom SAIC Motor.

The classic design of the LDV V80 wasengineered in Britain in collaborationwith many global automotive specialists,well-known component suppliers andrespected testing organisations. There-launched V80 is available with threepractical vehicle options to choose from,backed up by the Harris Group’s solidreputation and renowned customerservice.

Significant investment has been made inthe current LDV line up and a number ofexciting new vehicles will be added tothe range, including a Chassis Cabversion of the V80, to be added in Q32015. Plus, the all-new G10 MPV andpanel van will be launched in 2017!

Ongoing research and development intothe commercial market will see thedevelopment of new models for the LDVbrand for many years to come, ensuringLDV remains an iconic brand and cangrow to its full potential worldwide for many years to come.
