Born May 18, 1938, in Exeter, thedaughter. of Joseph W. and Irene(Smith) Fisk, she had lived 30 yearsin Newmarket, 11 years in Raymondand for the past nine months in Con-cord. .

She attended Newmarket HIghSchool.

She worked at Gallant Manufactur-

ing Company in Newmarket for 11years, and as a nurse's:aide for 17years at Exeter Hospital and Bever-ly Manor in Exeter.

Survivors include two sons, JosephZwearcan of Raymond and WilliamZwearcan of Effingham; a daughter,Mrs. Richard (Susan) Davis of Ray-mond; four grandchildren; a sister,Mrs. Robert (Betty) Bridle of Hamp-ton Beach; aunts, uncles, nieces andnephews; and a friend, John Bartlettof Concord.

She was preceded in death by herfirst husband, Harry N. Foote andsecond husband, William 1.. Zwear-can who died in 1984.

From 1928 until 1942, he was em- "ployed on the maintainence staff atthe University of New Hampshire.

He then became a pipefitter at thePortsmouth Naval Shipyard andworked there until his retirement in1965.

While at the shipyard, he hadworked on the Thresher and he wasscheduled to be on board for the seatrials from which she never re-turned.

He loved. the outdoors and enjoyedfishing very much.

He was a lifetime member of theAmerican Citizens Club of Polish De-scent which he joined in 1924.

He was a communicant of St.Mary's Church, Newmarket.

His wife, Catherine "Katie"(Dziedzic) Zwiercan, died in 1982.

Friday, Jan. 16, at Exeter Hosptial after a brief illness:Born April 20, 1913 in Newmarket, the son of John.and

Antonia (Ki1owski) Zuk, he was a 1932 graduate ofNewmarket High School and had been a lifelong residenthere.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had servedin the South Pacific.

He retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1979.He was a member and former trustee of the Newmarket

Community Church and was treasurer of the churchbuilding fund.

Legion Post No. 67, the American Citizens Club of PolishDescent and the Newmarket Historical Society.

Family members include his wife of 37 years, Nellie(Britko) Zuk of Newmarket; two brothers, Nicholas Zuk.of Newmarket and MichaerZuk of Kansas City, Mo.; asister, Mrs. Stanley (Claudm) Pitman of Newmarket; threeneices and two nephews. ...

Funeral services were hi!HdMonday, Jan. 19, at theNewmarket Community Church with the Rev. JosephThomas officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemeteryat a later date.

NEWMARKET - Walter Zwearcan, 78, of Grant Road,died Wednesday, Nov. 9, at exeter Hospital following abrief illness.

Born July 20, 1910, in Newmarket, the son of John andLena Maryanna (Krolikowski) Zwearcan, he had attendedNewmarket schools and been a lifelong resident.

He had served in the U.S. Army from 1927 to 1930 .. He was employed over 30 years in government service

at-thePortsmouth Naval Shipyard and was chief of securi-ty guards for 15 years, retiring in 1968. He later workedat Kingston-Warren Manufacturing Co., in Newfields.

He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sophie (Gonet)

Zwearcan of Newmarket; one son, Walter J. Zwearcan ofHampstead; two daughters, Patricia M. Zwearcan ofGreenland and Anastasia Zwearcan of Brookline, Mass.;two granddaughters Lisa E. and Karen L. Zwearcan ofHampstead; two brothers, Joseph Zwearcan of Newmarketarid Frank Zwearcan of Kenmore, N. Y.; one sister, Mrs.Mary Socha of Hooksett; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday atSt. Mary's Church with Rev. John Finnigan, pastor, ascelebrant. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by the Kent Funeral Home,41 Exeter St., Newmarket.
