I usually do not see again a movie, but I have seen this movie about four times, because this movie is really shocking and you are questioned about many aspects of our society. V for Vendetta was based on the graphic novel with the same name written by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. This movie was directed by James McTeigue and is a kind of political thriller which shows a dystopian society in the future. Hugo Weaving is V and in this movie he is going to change your perspective of a peaceful and developed future. The movie is set in a bleak future where politicians take the authoritarian control of the United Kingdom using fear as a tool. The movie begins with Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond breaking a government curfew and therefore being repressed by the police of the fascist government presided by the chancellor Adam Sutler (John Hunt), but, fortunately, a mysterious man with a Guy Fawkes’ mask appears and saves her from the police. After this Evey thanks him and asks for his name, the strange man says to Evey that he want to be called “V” , Evey starts a conversation with V where he shows her his plan against the government. He wants people remembering Guy Fawkes’ Night a nd searching a way out from repressive government and to achieve it, he promises to destroy the Parliament Palace one year later. Evey and V have their next contact when V breaks into BTN to give a message to the country against chancellor Sutler. There Evey saves V from the police and their friendship become stronger. V continues with his attacks in order to destabilize the government structure, in parallel the movie shows the motives of V to do what he is doing. This leads the viewer into a dramatic story where are shown unfair and horrifying things done by the government party in order to get the power and control of the country, for example the chemical virus which resulted in a pandemic catastrophe with thousands of deaths was implanted by the people who after won the elections with the proposal of have the vaccine for the virus. V continues with this plan of destroying the Parliament, but his attention is centered now in Evey. He want Evey helping in his plans, therefore he tries to implant his feeling of revenge in her. Finally, the deadline has passed and is the day which V promised to destroy de Parliament, but the movie has an unexpected ending because V is affected by feelings for Evey, so she has the last decision if execute the V’s plan or not. The acting of Hugo Weaving is wonderful. At the end of the movie you will love V as those who have watched the movie do, because his acting makes V a figure to follow. This combined with the plot has developed different political groups with V as their ensign, for example the group “Anonymous” which tries to do several computer attacks in order to destabilize companies and governments. Another of the fantastic aspects of Weaving’s acting is the way you change the perspective about V, because at the beginning of the movie you see V as a killer, but then, he convinces to you about his fair revenge in a way that you can feel this rage such as he feels it. In other words, he transfers his feelings through the screen to the viewers. At the end of the movie, when you are sure about his revenge and V has your full approval to execute his plan, he doubts about the validity of that plan of revenge and let it in Evey’s hands.

Finally, I recommend you being seduced by V’s story and taking a side in this reallyshocking plot. This movie could make us reflect about the fact of conspiracy insidegovernments like the implanting of pandemic diseases in order to generate fear, getmoney or have power, for example nowadays diseases such as Ebola, Chikunguñaand Zika make us think is this kind of conspiracy exist. Besides, the movie do a

reflection in terms of authoritarian governments where the people are repressed byfascist dictatorships and the only way to solve this problem is people claim their rightstogether, because people are the masters of governors not vice versa.
