Competition View this email in your browser UWW Junior Nationals Four Terps earned All-American honors at the UWW Junior National Championships. Freshman Spencer Woods (79 KG) got us started with a seventh place finish in the Junior Greco-Roman National Championships. Three other Terrapins secured All-American honors in freestyle, led by a fourth place finish from sophomore Jaron Smith (84 KG). Smith won four matches over the weekend. Redshirt freshman Josh Ugalde (79 KG) and freshman Hunter Lucas (50 KG) also locked up All- American honors, taking fifth and seventh (respectively) in their weight classes. Ugalde rattled off four wins at 79 kilograms to earn his podium finish, while Lucas won his final match of the weekend to claim All-American honors. All four qualify for UWW Junior World Team Trials in Lincoln, Neb. June 9-10. Results & Brackets Northeast Regional Four Terps finished in the top-four of their weight class. Terp AwardsStudent-athletes, coaches and teams werehonored for prowess in academics, communityservice and athletics at the fifth annual TerpAwards, co-sponsored by the Terrapin ClubScholarship Fund and the `M' Club, held at theDekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice SmithPerforming Arts Center on campus.

Bill Rappo received an ICA AcademicAchievement Award given to the senior or juniorfrom each team with the highest cumulative GPA. Garrett Wesneski was given an ICA CommunityService Award which is given annually to student-athletes who have excelled in giving back to thecommunity. For the 8th consecutive year wrestlingwon the Pride Cup (formerly theCHAMPS/Lifeskills Cup). This award is given tothe team demonstrating exemplary participation inservice, support and spirit.Click here for a full recap
