Crime Prevention Programs
Crime Prevention Programs are essential in reducing crime on our campus. Every student, staff and faculty member must take a proactive approach by anticipating the potential for crime, recognizing it and then taking some type of action to help prevent it. The university community must take some responsibility for their own protection and that of their own personal and state property.
Several Crime Prevention Programs are currently available through the university. The following is a partial list of those programs offered.

Uniform Crime Report
The Uniform Crime Report (UCR) began in 1930 when city, county and state law enforcement agencies started to voluntarily provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation with crime statistics based on reports to law enforcement. The table below contains crime information that was reported to UW-Stevens Point Police and Security Services as having occurred on campus.
The Annual Security Report for UW-Stevens Point is maintained by the UW-Stevens Point Dean of Students and is available on the UW-Stevens Point Dean of Students website. (uwsp.edu/dos/clery/Documents/ASR ASFR.pdf). The Annual Security Report contains information about crime from a variety of sources that may or may not have been reported to law enforcement.
