The total area of Herbivore safari is.:: -.30.53 Ha. It is flat and hilly with gentle to

moderate slope. The drainage of the area isOowards North to South West direction. The

greater part of the area, soil is occupied by Gangetic Alluvium consisting of silt and clay.

On the hill slopes, the layer of soil is very shallow and of sandy to sandy loam, dry, and

suited to xerophytic growth. Previously this area was part of MrigVihar. Most of the area

rich in Bainboo (Dendroclamus s'trictia). The culms are often solid Common

names include male bamboo are solid bambbo. It is a dull long green-colored bamboo

species, which 'grows in .thickets consistingof a large, number of heavily, and branched ;

closely growing culins.
