COVID-19 Self-Reporting APP,Notifications & InformationThe District has a COVID-19 Reporting System in place to allowstaff, students and parents to self-report if they have received aCOVID-19 positive test result. The self-reporting system enablesthe District’s Emergency Management team to conduct contacttracing, as well as call and notify individuals in Katy ISDbuildings who may have been directly exposed to the infectedperson. A general email notication is also sent to campusstaff and families whenever the district is informed of a potential “indirect” COVID-19 exposurein their building. Receipt of the general notication alone indicates that the recipient was notin close contact to the COVID-19 positive case reported for their building.

Parents will begin to receive applicable campus-based general notications when studentsreturn to schools for the in-person instructional option. Parents of students who may beinvolved in ne arts or athletic activities on campuses right now, may receive a generalnotication through Rank One (athletics) or Charms (ne arts), ahead of the September 8reopening, if the District is informed of a potential exposure at their campus.

Students and staff may report positive COVID-19 results using the COVID-19 Self Reportingapp on MyKaty Cloud.

Katy ISD

With safety being the number one priority for Katy ISD, today we have launched our new‘COVID-19 Case Dashboard.’ As a District, we want to ensure that you have access to theinformation and tools you need in order to make timely decisions about your child’sschooling, health and well-being as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. The Dashboard provides daily updates on the number of overall self-reported COVID-19positive cases throughout the district, and by campus. Families and staff can review theDashboard at any time by visiting the Katy ISD website homepage and clicking on the COVID-19 Case Dashboard icon.

The Dashboard is populated by data that is submitted by students and staff who have self-reported a positive COVID-19 test result through Katy ISD’s COVID-19 Self- Reporting App inthe MyKaty Cloud.
