ROTARACT CLUB INSTALLATION

On Thursday 22nd

August, the scene at Friends Club was little different from our usualclub meeting days. It was filled with hustle & bustle of youngsters in black T shirts. Itwas the occasion of the installation of new team of Rotaract Club of Indraprastha-

Okhla Jamia Millia Islamia for the Rotary year 2013-14.

President, Rtn Lalit Dhingra, called the meeting to order and requested all to rise forthe National Anthem. After that Rtr Hiba Batool read out the Four Way Test which wasrepeated by everyone present.

On behalf of Rotary Club of Indraprastha-Okhla President Lalit Dhingra welcomed theChief Guest, District Chair Youth Services PDG Mukesh Arneja and also welcomedthe Rotaract Coordinator JMI Dr Abid, all the Rotarians, RAnns and the youngsters.

Following this the outgoing President of Rotaract Club Rtr Mansoor presented hisreport & won applauds for the efforts, the outgoing team had done.

This was followed by the handing over of reigns to the incoming President, Rtr Zafar

Ahmad, by exchange of collar and presentation of the charter of the Rotaract Club.

Incoming President Rtr Zafar Ahmad began his year by praising the previous team fortheir excellent performance and vowed to follow their footsteps and exceed further. Healso did not forget to mention the name of D. Abid whose dedication has actuallyhelped their club immensely.

The President requested PP Ashoo Mittal to formally introduce the Chief Guest to theaudience. PDG Mukesh Arneja, in his motivation address, motivated the youngbrigade and opined that the Rotaract Club provides an opportunity for the youth toenhance the knowledge and skill that will guide them in personal development. It alsoprovides good relationship with all the people through a framework of friendship andservices.

After his address the Chief Guest PDG Mukesh Arneja pinned the office bearers of thenew team. On behalf of our club PP Prof AS Kohli proposed the formal Vote ofThanks. This was followed by presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest by RAnnRuchi Bhalla. A memento was also presented to the Rotaract Coordinator Dr Abid byour new member Rtn Kompal Chadha

The installation was followed by a cultural performance by the Rotaractors which wasenjoyed by everyone. After the cultural events Dr Abid addressed the Rotaractors.This was followed by a Vote of Thanks on behalf of the Rotaract Club by Rtr HibaBatool.

With all the ceremonies over President Lalit Dhingra declared the meeting adjournedat 9 pm.
