About the System• The construction of bird house using Fast Track Wall (FTW)

and Fast Track Slab (FTS) can help to reduce the cost and duration which will then minimize the client’s investment.

• The method of construction using both systems are categorized as an Industrialized Building System.

• FTW is a formwork system used for the construction of load bearing wall. The system eliminate the need to construct column, roof beam, brick wall, lintol and plastering.

• FTS is a system to construct the floor slab of a building . It is a composite system which will avoid the use of timber formwork and hence can reduce the impact towards environment.

The Need• Nowadays in Malaysia, the trend to build bird

house is becoming more popular. This technology offers an alternative to the conventional method of constructing which is costly and time consuming.

• The fast and affordable bird house construction can assist the clients in reducing the development cost.

• The development of fast and affordable bird house to the farmers helps to achieve part of the government strategy to increase the per capita income.

The Approach FTW

• Figure 1 below shows the component of FTW which mainly consist of steel framed structure and plastic panels.

• FTW is an innovative modular formwork system that allows building walls to be build more faster and economical as compared to conventional wall construction.

• FTW can be applied to single and double storey houses/buildings.

The Approach FTS• Figure 2 below shows the component of FTS.• FTS technology can reduce the time of floor

construction by 50%.• Profiled steel deck made of galvanized steel sheet,

rolled into ribbed profiles of recommended depth will serve as a form for wet concrete, thus eliminating the need for false work. When the concrete harden, the deck and concrete will act together to form a composite floor system. No reinforcement bar is needed except minimum wire mesh for crack control, hence an economical and fast construction of slab system is achieved.
