UT– i
UTAH is in the Western region of the U.S.A. and in 1896 became the 45th State to join the Union. The word “Utah” is Indian and means “people of the mountains.” It is the home and heart of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, often referred to as the Mormon Church. The capital is Salt Lake City which is the home of the Salt Lake City Lions Club which, in 1921, was the first Lions Club in the State to be organized. According to census reports, Utah is the fastest growing State in the U.S.A. It presently has almost 3 million residents.
Updated 05/03/2021: Added the 2020 and 2021 pins on page UT-8.

Origin is unknown. Sufficient pins exist to list as variation
Pins that were reissued for 1968, 69, 70, 72 and 74 were issued by a Utah Lion who reportedly obtained permission from the then council . He issued these pins at his own expense to insure all pin traders had these issues. All reissues have an extra long post on the reverse. This individual was the long time Pin Chairman for Utah and was responsible for the design and production of most of the UTAH Pins up until the time of his death.
