Buddy Media’s research showed that the volume of hashtags bears monitoring: one or two #Hashtags appears to use the max. Any more and your engagement goes down by 17%.
On Instagram
Interactions are highest when 11+ #Hashtags are used. A good rule of thumb is not to sweat the number of #Hashtags you use on Instagram.
