The Idea
“We’re not quite sure what we want but we think the Internet
can help.”
The Questions
 Content Focus? (pretty broad)
Internet Skill Levels? - teachers & students– Web Browser
– Searching
What Can A 3rd Grader Do? Facilities? Class vs. Lab Teaching Styles? Resources: For Teachers and/or Students?
My Thoughts
Show’em what’s out there for resources Teach‘em to fish Give’em some good resources to start
with Choosing, Adapting, Creating specific
lessons for your students is up to you!!!
Stuff to Consider
Yikes!!! there is way too much stuff A lot of the stuff may be useful The right stuff can be very exciting for
you and the kids Finding the right stuff can be time
consuming Adapting resources/ideas is the trick!!!
Technical Considerations
Kids/Teachers need certain computer and literacy skills
Interactive sites have certain technical requirements (plug-ins, sound cards, etc.)
Web Sites are Volatile “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow”
