What is ®?

• Similar to Inspiration in that it allows the learner to create a graphic organizer, but was designed with the K-5 learner in mind.

• Provides an easy, user friendly interface to organize the young learners thoughts and ideas.

• All of this is done through the use of Pictures, Text, and Spoken Words.

Challenges of Using Technology

• Buying registered software for all computers in the classroom

• Limited number of computers in the classroom

• Increased time to train students on the computer

• Deleted and lost work • Technology Support

One Computer Classroom

• Kidspiration can still be used in a one computer classroom

• Students can be rotated to the computer during center time

• 1:1 help is provided by teacher during rotation

• Use it as an incentive (students earn time)

Example From Chanh’s Class

In a low income site, with students who are not exposed to computers, lessons and activities with Kidspiration can still work. With one-on-one help from the teacher and modifying activities to help students use the computer.
