Using Equipment in the (GH1) Lecture Theatres

Where to Start?
• Book venue• Bring along presentation (Tape/DVD/etc.)
• Collect keys at AVS/helpdesk/CPS (ext 3250)
• Computer access via login :

• Document camera (where applicable)
• Computer (login required)
• Laptop (collect data cable from AVS)
• Video & DVD player
• Control Panel• Cordless lapel microphone (collect from AVS)
• Epson LCD projector
Document Camera1. Replaces OHP in venues2. No Transparencies are required 3. Can project various objects
Safety & Security
• 24 hr surveillance
• Alarms at side entrance
• Equipment secured and locked
• Users has a shared responsibility for safety of all equipment.
Reminders• Venue/room Lights set automatically
• Power on projector using touch panel and press the UWC icon
• +/- 30 sec to power up
• The computer is the default on-screen application.
• Navigate by using the touch panel
Touch Panel Start-up screen
Press the UWC logo button to activate the projector and lighting settings
DVD, VCR, document camera, computer, laptop, accessible via touch panel
Menu page• Pressing the DVD or VCR buttons takes one to the respective submenus with its controls
• Ensure that correct application is active and powered before attempting playback
Volume Control
• Volume Control is available for all equipment via the control panel
• to “Exit” press the door icon.
• The volume on the lapel mic is preset and should not be adjusted.
Touch Panel menus
•Secure equipment before leaving the venue.
•Return keys to AVS
•Upon completion, press the “end presentation” button to return the lighting settings to normal.
