1 INTRODUCTION This is an initiative to help the Tribal Department‘s effort to give more skill-oriented trainings to the tribal youth to increase their capacity to overcome the backwardness. A ready available data to plan and organize will sure make the decision making easy. 1.1 Audience This User manual is meant for the stakeholders of Tribal Youth Census programme. The query module will help to plan and create the list of eligible candidates for the skill training programs to enhance their living by building a good employment capacity. As it is WEB based query system, any level & any agency can access these records district wise, block wise or village wise to plan and arrange the skill training programs and later can update the individual’s records with the training details. There are 4 levels of querying using the selection criteria.

1.2 Purpose The Purpose of this document is to provide an interface between the user and the tribal survey query system. It will help users to understand data inputs for selection criteria and various reports, which they can get out of this. 1.3 Overview

Tribal Census 2008 Query Module is developed in .NET technology using N-tier architecture. This is an open documented system at present. The updation part coming in second phase would have proper authentications. All Master details and parameters are preset before the survey process and data entry is made at the supervision of Tribal Training Institute Ahmedabad.

BPL SURVEY QUERY MODULE 1.5 Problem Reporting Technical problems in the Query Module should be reported to NIC, Gujarat State Centre, Block 13, New Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar via respective HODs. Administrative issues should be reported to respective HOD of Trial Development Department or D-SAG.

2. Product Features

1. The survey activity and the data entry & verification are out of the scope

of this query module. The flat file for each district is the initial data supplied the by TTRI is processed to made into database. Relevant parameter files are also setup which included the mapping of census 2001 district/block/village code.

2. There are 26 selection criteria to submit the queries. Most of the criteria are

listed as per the survey parameters. 3. Output can be seen in the form of low level summary with %of records

satisfying the selection criteria allowing further deep search.

4. Block level, Village level reports are provided.

5. At present Query Modules allows open access. 6. All parameter’s set of values are classified.

3. Instructions

3.1 Handling instructions

To facilitate data entry, Data is entered in GPIR as soon as taxex and other incomes /grants are received. Expenditure details are also inputted in the form of voucher. To have security of data, username and passwords should be kept secret and should be changed every month.



3.2 Hardware requirements

The following are the minimum hardware requirements to operate the Query Module. Systems in Windows flat-form with Internet Explorer 6 and above is preferable using the URL http://tribal.guj.nic.in .

3.3 Installation Procedure AS this is WEB based solution, there is no installation procedure. Application can be accessed by using Internet explorer, IE 6 and above.

4. General handling instructions

The URL to access the query module is to be given in browser. Then the following homepage containing the web applications developed by NIC for Tribal Department Government of Gujarat is displayed.

The Home page contains the useful links and contact information. In that following are the related links, QUERY MODULE: - Using this, we can make a search by entering different criteria. HELP DOCUMENT: - Provides User Manual/Guideline.

4.2 QUERY Module to enter the selection criteria

This is first page of Query Module. One can make online queries by entering different parameters. Most of the criteria are classified so the list is provided; for some discrete values are given before submitting.

4.3 DISTRICT QUERY REPORT: -

This page shows district wise detail of satisfying criteria. It also displays the selection criteria, number of families, total families and its percentage of successful passing of criteria. One can also take a print of this page by clicking on the Print button provided. On clicking the district link the same query is passed on the district records to give block wise report.

4.4 BLOCK QUERY REPORT: -

This page shows block wise details of satisfying criteria in a similar manner shown for district wise query. One can take print of this page by clicking Print button and one can also take a print of family details which is in PDF format, by clicking PrintReport button.

4.5 TALUKAWISE PRINT REPORT: -

This Report shows the form number, full name, marital status, current occupation, literacy status, phone number, survey year, preferred training details and training information details of families group by village which satisfying the criteria of particular taluka of selected district. It also shows total of every village and particular taluka also. On clicking the block link the same query is passed on the selected block records to give village wise report.

4.6 VILLAGE QUERY REPORT: -

This shows villages wise details of satisfying criteria of particular block/taluka. One can take print of this page and can also get print of family details of selected village, which is in PDF format.

4.7 VILLAGEWISE PRINT REPORT: -

This Report shows form number, name, marital status, literacy status, current occupation, phone number, preferred training details and training information of families which satisfying criteria of selected village. It also shows total number of families which satisfied the criteria of particular village. Further click on the village link will list the form nos satisfying the criteria.

4.8 FAMILY QUERY REPORT: -

This page shows form number, candidate name, survey year of families, which satisfying the criteria of particular village. Print button can be used to print this page. On clicking the form number the individual details of the form is displayed.
