2: List Your Company

Premium users are able to list their company in great de-tail (see right). This allows users to find companies offering their exact requirements - areas of expertise, length of time in business, geographical location etc.

Free accounts have just basic contact information and al-ways appear below premium accounts in search results.

3: Enhance Your Profile

Premium users can enhance their profile by adding photos and photo albums, video presentations, RSS feeds and even add their own html to create stunning representa-tions of their company (see below)...

4: Search

There are several ways to search for global companies... If you know the name of a particular company, you can search directly from the

Simply complete your search criteria and click ‘Search’. You will be presented with any compa-nies that match your criteria...

You can then shortlist your matches and contact them directly from the Interforwarder website.

You can also add your own comments against your selected companies to reference next time you are dealing with them...

5: Members Click on ‘Members’ to see all ‘New Members’ - just click on their profile pictures to reveal full details. You will also see a drop-down menu (circled) showing listed users by country. Just click on any country to reveal all listed users for each country.

Any ‘Online Users’ are shown in a world map in the users main page. Click on any ‘flag’ to see the iden-tity of the online user.

Online users are also shown at the bottom of your pages (see below).

Simply click to view and start a ‘chat’ session. Click the ‘video’ icon to request a video-chat session...

On the footer ‘Chat’ menu (above) you can click the ‘settings’ button to set your contact status to available, busy, invisible or offline... When showing ‘offline’ users will not see your image on world map or ‘footer’ menu...

6: Join & Build Groups & Networks

Interforwarder has established a number of ‘expert’ groups where users who special-ise in certain areas can join like-minded companies, share information and work to-gether as required. To join any of these groups, simply click on ‘Groups’ from the main menu. All available groups will be displayed. ‘Expert’ groups are ‘open’ groups - any-one can join. If there is no ‘Expert’ group for your particular discipline, you can either create one or ask Interforwarder to set up a new group.

To create your own group, simply click ‘Create Group’ and complete details as required. Groups can be designated ‘Open’ - anyone can join or ‘Closed’ - by invitation only.

Once you have established your group, you can start inviting appro-priate users to join your group.

It is likely that you will be invited to join other groups as you become part of the Interforwarder global population.

When viewing Interforwarder users, you have the option to ‘Send Friend Request’ (see left). This is the first step to building relationships and finding potential ‘group’ members.

Keep in touch with your group members and provide regular topics for discussion within your group.

Enjoy building your own global groups and network(s) with real-time, built-in communication.

7: Communication There are numerous ways to communicate with other Interforwarder users... We will explore the most popular options... As we saw on the previous page, we can message users directly from their profile (see below)...

‘Chatrooms’ provides a place to meet users with a common interest to communicate in real-time. This module consists of three im-portant tabs...

Lobby / Create Chatroom / Popout

You can view all active chat-rooms and num-ber of online users in each chat-room just by clicking the ‘Lobby’ tab.

Most ‘real-time’ communication will take place from the ‘Chatbar’ at the bottom of your page (see below).

Note: The validity of the chat-room is for a limited period ie. as long s you re active in the website chat-room. There are various features that can make the ‘chatting experi-ence’ very interesting... Note: ‘Invitation Only’ chat-rooms can be set-up and restricted to invitees. This type of chat-room is not displayed in the ‘lobby’.

Popout - For your convenience, you can open the chat-room in a new window, just

click on ‘Popout’.

Kick - The chat-room owner/moderator can temporarily remove any member from

the chat-room using the ‘Kick’ function. Simply select the user you wish to remove and click on ‘Kick’. The banned member can rejoin the next chat-room session.

Send Files - You can easily send files whilst in ‘chatting’ mode simply by selecting

the ‘send file’ icon >>

Games - There is a whole library of games to play (single-player and multi-player)

while waiting for that connection...

Enhancements - There are ‘smileys’ and a colour-palette to enhance your chat ex-

Once you select a language, ALL incoming chats will appear in your chosen language.

Video-Chat

Easily change from ‘chat’ to ‘Audio-Video’ chat. Just click on the ‘AV’ but-ton to send a request to accept your video-chat.

Then, just chat away in real-time, face to face, anywhere in the world!

NB: Your webcam should work automatically with Interforwarder. Any prob-lems, see your IT depart-ment.
