1. Download Global Phone Talk App

To ensure the best experience in using Global Phone Talk, please check whether your Global Phone system is in the latest version. With the most updated firmware, Global Phone Talk App will be preloaded to your phone.

1. Open Global Phone “Settings” 2. Click “About phone” à “System updates” 3. Click “Check for updates” 4. If new version is available, related “Update Information” will be displayed. 5. Click “Download” 6. Select “Install now” to proceed firmware update.

2. Activation

Open Global Phone Talk App and make sure you’ve connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or data connection,

1. Read and accept Global Phone Talk Terms and Conditions

2. Allow Global Phone Talk to access your contacts, make and manage phone calls, and record the audio

3. Input 6-digit verification code* 4. Your designated HK fixed line number will be assigned, click “Enjoy Now”

to complete registration

*Note: Verification code will be sent to subscriber’s registered mobile number through SMS.

3. Outgoing Call – By Using Keypad

A) Calling to HK phone number

1. Input [phone number] 2. Press the green Dial Out button.

B) Calling to overseas phone number – HKBN IDD 0030

1. Input “+” [Country code] + [Area Code] + [Phone Number] 2. Press the green Dial Out button.

Note: Input “+” will auto transfer to IDD 0030 service. For those Global Phone Monthly Plan subscribers, the assigned HK fixed line number has been pre-registered with HKBN IDD 0030 service. You may also use other IDD services by inputting corresponding IDD code. For more information about IDD 0030 service plan, please call HKBN Customer Service Hotline at 128100.

4. Outgoing Call – By Using History and Contacts

You can also make call by choosing the contact person in History log or Contacts page.

Global Phone Talk Contacts will automatically sync with Global Phone Contacts and Google Contacts. You can also manually update the Global Phone Talk Contacts by pulling down the screen to refresh.

Note: To sync with your Google Contacts, you need to login your Google account in mobile device setting.

1. Select the contact person 2. Choose the phone number you want to dial

5. Incoming Call

Incoming call screen will pop-up when someone is calling to your Global Phone Talk phone number. Press green “Answer” button to receive the call or red “Reject” button to reject the call.

Remarks: When Global Phone Talk App is closed (i.e. Kill App but NOT force stop), it can still get incoming call as normal.

6. Language

You can change the language of Global Phone Talk App in “Settings” page.

1. Press the downward triangle button in “Language” 2. Select your preferred language 3. Click “OK” to confirm

7. Ringtone & Ringer Volume

The ringtone and ringer volume of Global Phone Talk are the same settings as your Global Phone native dialler.

To make changes,

1. Open Global Phone settings 2. Press “Sound & notification” 3. You can adjust the volume in “Ring Volume” 4. You can change the ringtone by pressing “Phone ringtone”, and then press

“OK” after selected your preferred ringtone. W===

8. Error Message

Screen Error Message Troubleshoot Tips

Invalid OTP. Please try again.

Please check the SMS from your registered mobile number for Global Phone service to get the OTP (One Time Password).

Network error. Please check your Internet connection and try again.

There is no network for your Global Phone during OTP input. Please check your Wi-Fi connection, 4G data connection or GlobalMe Connect App status to ensure you have Internet access.

Login error. Please check your Internet connection and try again.

There is no network for your Global Phone when you try to re-login the App. Please check your Wi-Fi connection, 4G data connection or GlobalMe Connect App status to ensure you have Internet access. Then you can press “Retry” to login again after network resumed.

Network error. Please check your Internet connection and try again.

There is no network for your Global Phone when trying to make call. Please check your Wi-Fi connection, 4G data connection or GlobalMe Connect App status to ensure you have Internet access.

Not support CND blocking at this moment.

When you dial 133 to hide your caller number display, the system is not support for this feature at this moment and will be offered in the later updated version.
