The following items are required by Garfield County for a final inspection:1. A final Electrical Inspection from the Colorado State Electrical Inspector.2. A permanent address assigned by the Garfield County Building Department posted where

it is readily visible from an access road.

3. A finished roof, a lockable house, complete exterior siding, exterior doors and windowsinstalled, a complete kitchen with cabinets, a sink with hot & cold running water, kitchenfloor coverings, counter tops and finished walls, ready for stove and refrigerator, allnecessary plumbing.

Dear Mr. Thrash:

As requested, an exploratory boring was drilled at the subject site to evaluate thesubsurface profile. The work was performed in accordance with our agreement forprofessional services withP you dated February 4, 1998. y

The lot is about 55 feet by 120 feet in plan size and located along the downhill side ofShotgun. There is a steep erosional escarpment adjacent the north side of the lot anderosional gulleys and sinkholes (at least 8 feet deep) encroach the lot.

We understand that the subsoil profile is for sale of the property and that the potentialbuyer (Gil Baty) proposes to subexcavate all of the erosion features and reestablish thelot grade with structural fill. The feasibility of the proposed development plan andpotential for recurrence of the sinkhole erosion is beyond the scope of our work.

The subsoil profile encountered at the lot is shown on Fig. 1. We could not access themiddle of the lot with our drill rig due to the sinkholes and gulleys: The clay and siltsoils encountered appear typical of the area.

This study has been conducted in accordance with generally accepted geotechnicalengineering principles and practices in this area at this time. We make no warrantyeither expressed or implied. The findings submitted in this report are based upon thedata obtained from the exploratory boring drilled at the location indicated on Fig. 2.There are likely variations in the subsurface conditions at other parts of the lot. Thisreport has been prepared for our client for subsoil profile evaluation. We are notresponsible for technical interpretations by others of our information.

MANUFACTURED HOMES

In order to understand the scope of the work intended under a permit application and expedite the issuanceof a permit it is important that complete information be provided. Adequate and complete information willprevent delays in the plan review process. Reviewing a plan and the discovery that required information hasnot been provided by the applicant may result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding withbuilding construction. The owner or contractor may be required to provide this information before the planreview may proceed. This causes delays because other plans that are in line for review may be given attentionbefore the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the Building Department.

Please review this document to determine if you have enough information to design your project andprovide adequate information to facilitate a plan review. If you do not, it may be helpful to obtain abook titled "Dwelling Construction under the Uniform Building Code ". This book is available to youthrough this department at our cost. Also, please consider using a design professional for assistancein your design and a construction professional for construction of your project.

To provide for a more understandable plan in order to determine compliance with the building, plumbing andmechanical codes, applicants are requested to review the following check list prior to and during design.Applicants are required to indicate appropriately and to submit the completed check list at time of applicationfor a permit.
