    AGENDA: UP Fair

Vice Chairperson Agudo noted that only a few people signed up to do night duty for Thursday.

The final taskings and task description will be uploaded in the groups. Update from the

administration meeting last Thursday- the administration already gave its permission for the

Fair to continue however they are requesting that the USC pay 235,794.50Php first before theyrelease the formal permit. They also asked us to pay 150Php per night per booth to the Business

    Concessionaires Office.

Chairperson Sindayen asked the Fair Committee to write a letter to the Chancellor requesting

for the waiving of the Sunken Garden expenses. He noted that the USC has to assert its inability

to pay for the venue. He also noted that during the dialogue, the administration waived all early

    negotiations with them.

At this point, Councilor Borja inquired on how the USC will pay for the workers labor for the Fair.

Vice-Chairperson Agudo responded that this is included in the things that the USC needs to

accomplish before getting the formal permit.

With regard to the Booth payment, Councilor Borja approximated the amount to be given to the

administration to be at 75,000Php for the whole @ 150Php per booth x 100 booths x 5 nights.

She said that since the administration will be profiting from the Fair, they should either be

included in the Fair Accountability affidavit or they should waive the rental fee of the Sunken

    Garden.

Councilor Garcia seconded the waiving of the venue given that for UP venues, organizations

have to pay for the maintenance fee of any venue; since the USC will take care of the

maintenance and clean up of the venue, the fee should really be waived.

College Representative Dominguez also noted that maybe the USC should explain to the

administration that UP Fair is a service-based event. It has beneficiaries and is done for a cause.

Councilor Garcia also noted that the administration should take its part of the blame because it

was very hard to coordinate with them throughout the year.

Vice-Chairperson Agudo then explained the need-to-knows for the Fair:

    1) There will be two entrances, one exit, and a backstage. The entrance near the MainLibrary is for UP students while the entrance across the College of Education is for non-

UP students. USC People can enter anywhere. Almost everywhere and everything isaccessible for USC members except the backstage. Logistics passes will be distributed

    for non-USC members.

    2) USC members need to wear their ID at all times.3) 10,000 tickets have been reproduced.4) For the food: The food will be distributed 6:30-7:00 for the merienda and 12Mn for the

    dinner.
