Pluto Safety PLCCommunication - Encoders
Encoders
Single-turn encoder, for speed and position monitoring.
Multi-turn encoder, to keep track of how many turns
the encoder has made as well as speed and position.
Easy to connect to the Pluto by using the CAN bus.

Dynamic Pulse
Single input and

Pluto Safety PLC
Why Pluto?
All-supervisor system that allows one Pluto in a network to see and act on all of the other Pluto units. Up to 32 units can be connected together which gives a theoretical total of 1472 I/O.
A small system that is profitable even for small machines and applications, but is easy to expand or merge to a larger system, and afterward can be taken apart without change to the hardware.
Easy to connect to each other and to other components such as HMI, encoders and gateways by a two-part CAN bus cable.
A small unit compared to conventional PLC systems, very small compared to other safety PLCs.
Easy to program, with no extra cost for software and license.
Libraries with readymade TÜV approved blocks for easy programming.
Easy to maintain and service.
Highest safety level, PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to EN IEC 62061.

Pluto AS-i
The AS-i versions of Pluto AS-i v2 and
B42 can work as Master or Monitor.
Combines the AS-i bus with traditional
connections of safety devices.
The Pluto AS-i units also have the Pluto-
bus which means it can act as a sort of
gateway between the two bus systems
creating flexibility and the possibility to
design large AS-i solutions.

Pluto Safety PLC
Programming
Easy to program by Ladder Logic.
Manuals for all Pluto and Pluto related products included with the software.
Different Block-Libraries for easy programming. The blocks are macros, repeated code enclosed within blocks, with descriptions. The blocks include, among other functions, traditional two-channel solutions (TC1S) and blocks for single-channel solutions (ResetT). The blocks make it easy to understand and program e.g. a gateway (ExtVarBlock) or a pair of encoders (SafeEncoder) being used together with a Pluto.
Arithmetic is supported that makes it possible to make advanced calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) or comparisons of register values.
Remnant memory support, so that data can be saved over power-off.
Support for sequence programming.
All this make it possible to use the Pluto for not only the safety in an application, it can also be used to control a machine instead of a conventional PLC and at the same time take care of the safety.
