Dear EFS India Family

Time seems to have flown very quickly as we say farewell to a successful 2016 and welcome a hopeful 2017.

Before I outline our vision for 2017, I think this is a good time to look back and review our performance in 2016.

In final analysis, 2016 was a year of substantial growth and achievements for us across India.

f We expanded our presence to more than 77 cities in 23 states and established three lines of business via the Integrated FM, Specialized Engineering as well as Industrial FM Services

f We secured 36 prestigious contracts during the year (an improvement of 47% compared to 2015), and today have a healthy ratio of ongoing clients spread almost equally between the West, South, North and Pan India regions

f We manage more than 40 million Sq. Ft. of space for our clients, and the IT industry, Manufacturing and Banking segments remain our biggest business segments nationally

f Our workforce grew to a high of more than 3800 employees, concentrated largely in the South, North and Western regions

f In financial terms, our revenue grew by 16.7% and profit rose by 224% as compared to 2015

f Operationally, we introduced in house Soft Services, increased the share of direct client contracts and launched an EFS helpline for our employees

f The HR Department enhanced its employee engagement initiatives with frequent R&Rs and team events/celebrations

All these achievements were made possible due to the sincerity, commitment, dedication, hard work and passion of every member of the EFS India family.

We have set a high standard in 2016 successfully and now our challenge is to perform better in 2017.

The key to achieve performance improvement is to have a clear vision and defined objectives in mind, which help us to plan our strategy accordingly.

With this in mind, I would like to share some very specific goals for 2017, which will give you a sense of what we are aiming to achieve, and how your contribution will be vital to achieve these targets. In no particular order, we would like to

f Achieve Revenue growth of 60%

f Double our profit in 2017 (i.e. 100% growth)

f Increase the number of ongoing contracts by 35%

f Expand our headcount by 15% f Increase our share of Direct

Client contracts

f Enhance focus on emerging key markets like Pune and Hyderabad

f Improve services portfolio for Soft Services, Technical Operations, IMS and HSEQ departments

f Launch frequent Employee connect initiatives to improve communication between employees and management

f Introduce standardized SOPs for all departments

As you can see, we do have some very clear goals and objectives set out for 2017. With your support, efforts and co-operation, I am confident that we will be able to achieve our goals positively.

Our competition is becoming fiercer as more companies try to compete with us , but our track record and history of client satisfaction, our experience and skill sets, our global best practices and methods and employee centric work culture power our Deliverance, Prudence and Sustainability, giving us an unmatched advantage.

May 2017 be a personally and professionally satisfying year and bring lots of cheer, good health and laughter to you and your family.

As always, we remain inspired by our motto of

Trust • Teamwork • Talent

Happy New Year!

Greetings to the EFS India Family,

My first few months in EFS have been quite eventful and instructive with many lessons learned and milestones achieved.

2017 is a new year ripe with the potential of unrealized potential and opportunities. The team is motivated and ready to tackle our challenges and help us achieve our long term targets in India.

The main highlights of our 2017 strategy will be:

f Implementation of the Computer Assisted Facilities Management or CAFM across our operations in India. The CAFM technology platform is a globally recognized services tool that is very important to strengthen our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services offering. This technology is utilised by a select few FM experts, and our experience with the CAFM 2.0 platform in the Middle East will give us a powerful edge over our competitors in India.

f We will strengthen our global credentials by achieving the SFG (Service and Facilities Group) 20 standard for Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) activities. SFG 20 is a British standard which covers critical areas such as Equipment and Schedules. Doing so will make us the only Indian FM services company to be SFG 20 certified, which will help us improve our market share significantly.

f We will rollout the Integrated Management System (IMS) across our ongoing sites following the successful renewal of our ISO certifications. This will be a key factor in helping us improve our Quality and Service assurance performance in 2017.

f We will concentrate on expanding the scope of services we offer for the Industrial FM sector, by developing a comprehensive suite of dedicated services and capabilities to enhance our presence.

f We will roll out a structured Training and Development module for all EFS employees, cutting across the various roles and functions. We aim to replicate the success of our Dubai Center of excellence across the major operations sites across India.

f We will also aim to increase the scope of services offering under the Specialized Engineering Services (SES) vertical.

This is a broad overview of our overall objectives in 2017. As always, the most important element in achieving these goals will be the hard work and sincere efforts from every member of the EFS India team.

I am confident that with our customary performance standards and pioneering vision, we will achieve the goals successfully to secure more success in the new year.

Happy New Year to the EFS India team!

ASK EFS INDIA

We thank the EFS India family for their positive response to the Ask EFS India Initiative. We received some valuable suggestions and queries and are featuring a selected few questions along with our management’s response.

Dear EFS India, I have a couple of suggestions for the management’s consideration: f Cost Savings process to implement – Proposing to have a dedicated person / a team / to have regular

announcement with the cost saving points as action items to drive the cost saving process by which we can save maximum of the cost to our company.

f To have a server to store / upload the monthly statutory compliance documents for PAN India (also for other dept. if suitable)– To have easy access of the documents as & when needed for any required period.

f To recirculate the process / policies of all the departments to all the employees – So that every employee is aware of the changes & they will adhere to the same & also it would be helpful even for us to drive smoothly.

Dhasharath RaoDeputy Manager - HR01

Dear Dhasharath,Thank you for reaching out and sharing some very good suggestions. You’ll be happy to note that these are already in various stages of implementation and will be rolled our this year.

Dear Sir / Madam,Please go through following suggestions.

f Make the system for cross functional methodAny individual person (not for ground level team) should not be work in same site for long term It is chances to deviating the system, less transparency, And also proper backup will not be available if the person is absent

f Individual site manager should go to other site for auditing It will helps to both management and employee

f Identified the skillset of individual and make use in required areaIdentify the any technical / non-technical talent of person and utilize wherever you required Same person should not lead multiple roles in the company (not for all)

Dear Mr. Mahesh, We appreciate your interest and suggestions as always. Some of your queries have been addressed in the previous suggestions. Regarding the identification of skillsets, we do have an existing technical assessment sheet which is available with the operations teams for this purpose. Besides this, we’re also planning to have an internal training & development team, by having our subject matter experts from cross functions delivering training to their colleagues in various functions, to share their practical knowledge and observations.

Dear Madam/Sir, Greetings! Please find following few points from my end. f Technical Ops Manager should undergo for soft services training – This would be effective for the first level

business potential opportunity discussions. f Centralized Training cum Simulation Development centre in India. f Region wise Energy Management Team – Facility industry and Clients are very demanding on the value added

services. We shall include the energy management as a value added services and showcase the service delivery, assurance by implementing simple guidelines by carrying out thermal imaging activity, power quality analysis, basic indoor air quality, Lux level analysis etc. This can only be useful for direct clients and would certainly help for business sustainability.

f Cross Functional Audits – Basically it would be third eye view for inter-site audits. One operation manager would carry out technical audit to other ops manager site and vice versa – Can be done twice in a year.

f Rewards & Recognition Programme – We need to put some thought process to change the terminology/tagline from R&R as R&R is commonly used term in the industry – Can be re-term as per EFS core values & principle.

Hope we would act as a differentiator by implementing the above practisesThanks for giving the opportunity to share the questions & thoughts.

Dear Vivek,Thank you for your suggestions. We have taken them into consideration. About your suggestion on energy management teams, you’ll be happy to note that we already have dedicated energy management teams to address our clients’ energy management needs. Mr. Sheetal Kamra (North and West) and Mr. Kumar Ponnurangam (South & East) have been leading the energy management division for us.

We are planning to launch a pilot programme for cross functional audits during Q1 2017, and the lessons learned from the exercise will help us to implement the programme across India by the end of Q2 2017.
