Delmar Subsea Connector The patented Delmar Subsea Connector (DSC) saves operators valuable time and money through the use of a simple and reliable male-female locking mechanism. This design completely eliminates the need to unseat the anchor before implementing mooring component repairs or replacements, significantly cutting down on maintenance time.

Using a single remotely operated vehicle (ROV), the DSC can be secured into place easily and efficiently. Anchors can be preset and the mooring line attachment completed later at the convenience of the operator.

For permanent facilities, site-specific analysis and mooring component minimum breaking loads (MBLs) are used to dictate the fully customizable size of the DSCs required, allowing for a perfect fit in both

reliability and safety considerations.

Other applications for the Delmar Subsea Connector include increased flexibility for deepwater production

vessels (DPs), increased security for offshore wind farms and other offshore vessels, installation and recovery of pipeline initiation piles, and retrieval of subsea packages. Delmar’s rental fleet of DSCs are also extensively used for rapid re-

entry into existing MODU mooring patterns for workover operations.
