• Service Craft are utilitarian craft not classified as ships or boats providing services
to the Fleet in harbors, ports and at sea
• Service craft are in the Naval Vessel Register; inventory transactions formally
approved by OPNAV/DASN Ships
• Over 35 types of Service Craft with a total of 366 in service throughout the world
with an average age of 40 years old
• Seaborne Targets are used to support weapon systems test and evaluation and
Fleet training
• In-Service support includes Inventory Management, Planning Yard services, YP

Summary: Five (5) Upcoming Procurements
1. YON Fuel Oil Barge and YWO Waste Oil Barge― Non-self-propelled steel liquid cargo barges built to ABS Rules
― YON will be designed with a capacity of ~6,900 barrels (~289,800 gallons) and will have an on-board cargo pump
― YWO will be designed with a capacity of ~3,500 barrels (~147,000 gallons) and will not have an on-board cargo pump
2. Utility Barges – YC/YFN― Nominal 110’ non-self-propelled utility barges built to ABS Rules
3. Yard Repair Berthing and Messing Barge Replacement – YRBM(X)― Nominal 152’ x 50’ berthing and messing barge built to ABS Guide for Accommodation Barges
4. Mobile Ship Target – MST― Nominal 265’ x 26’ self-propelled target ship with maximum sustained speed of 12 knots
5. Auxiliary Floating Dry Dock Medium Replacement - AFDM(X)― Floating dry dock to support maintenance availabilities for CG 47, DDG 51, LCS, LSD 41/49, CG 47, SSN 688, and SSN
