• In the early 1800’s many women were not allowed to vote and had limited access to education and jobs. They also had few choices in regards to rights and were not seen as being equal to men.

Main Idea• Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott and

Susan B. Anthony are women who worked for Women’s Rights in the 1800’s. Elizabeth Stanton and Lucretia Mott dedicated their life to the women’s right movement. They also organized the first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York. Susan B. Anthony worked for equal pay for women as well as the right for women to vote. These women lead the way in the fight for women to gain individual rights in the United States.
