Flight Medic Course

Train qualified combat medics to treat, stabilize, and provide enroute medical care to the critically injured or ill during transport aboard air ambulances. 4 week course, 4 courses/year 12 students minimum, 30 maximum Army, Navy, Air Force, Allied SQI Producing Course (“F” identifier)

Marines often have no support, and frequently rely on aircraft of opportunity

Course Goals Support flight surgeons and commanders with

regard to psychological disposition of aviation personnel

Provide consultation to commanders and safety officers concerning human factors affecting readiness, safety, performance, and retention of aviation personnel.

Educate and train aviation personnel in psychological factors affecting aviator readiness and mission completion.

Provide consultation to accident investigation and flight evaluation boards on psychological factors affecting aviator performance and safety.

MEDEVAC Doctrine Course

Provide the necessary skills and knowledge to plan the employment of medical evacuation assets in a theater of operations in all tactical situations. 2 week course 5 resident courses per year 24 student average per class
