Points to remember
Remember that we say
I work , but he works .
They teach but my sister (She) teaches .
We sing but Rihanna (She) sings .
Don’t forget the – s in 3 rd person singular(e.g., he, she, it, Peter, Jane, My father, etc)

We use the present simple to talk about→ regular, repeated activities or situations
Susan goes to school every day
→ things that are generally or always trueThe River Ebro flows into the Mediterranean sea

Pattern: subject + ADVERB + verbheir day at 7 o’clock.
She USUALLY play s basketball on Mondays .
Peter OFTEN watch es TV at breakfast .
They NEVER go home on weekdays .
We SOMETIMES play football .
With the verb TO BE we use a different pattern
Pattern: subject + am/is/are+ ADVERBThomas and Philip are ALWAYS busy at school.
They are NEVER late for their activities.
He is USUALLY ready for breakfast at 7 o’clock.
We are OFTEN in the music room during the breaks.
James is SOMETIMES tired at the end of the day.
