Background • e-Recruitment introduced in 2011

• Used for all University vacancies except for academic

• 1 Sep 14 – 31 Aug 15:

• 56,305 online applications submitted

• 1,105 vacancies

Upgrading the system • Part of a significant project to upgrade the

University’s HR system

• Introduces some new features for applicants:

• Jobs by email

• Booking interview slots online

• Forwarding URL

• Change email address

• Application with inbuilt supporting statement

DEMONSTRATION

Application form templates 1. ‘Short’ application form:

• Applicants attach a CV and supporting statement

2. ‘Full’ application form: • Education and employment included

• Applicants attach a supporting statement

3. Application with inbuilt supporting statement • New from October (upgraded version)

• Supporting statement within the form – no attachments

Next stage • Applicant is notified of outcome of shortlisting:

• Invited to interview

• Rejected

• After interview:

• Successful – conditional offer letter and pre-employment information / checks

• Can apply for further jobs by copying previous applications and updating
