Why are challenging behaviors so challenging??????
• Impulsivity- the inclination of an individual to initiate behavior without adequate acknowledgement of consequences for their actions.
![Page 3: Upgraded PP with video](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022062418/5562c1f1d8b42a13618b5132/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
2 types of Impulsivity
• Behavioral Impulsivity-• The things that you do.
These impulses are often the ones that students continue to do even after they have been told not to.
• Cognitive Impulsive- the things that you say.
• These behaviors are usually involve students not reasoning consequence beforehand and just guessing what may occur.

Cause Effect
• If I do this then that is likely to happen
![Page 7: Upgraded PP with video](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022062418/5562c1f1d8b42a13618b5132/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Use preventive problem solving skills
• The students need to ask themselves the questions…..
What Happened?What did I do?
What should I have done? Next time I will…..
![Page 8: Upgraded PP with video](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022062418/5562c1f1d8b42a13618b5132/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
