Summer Day Camps WALDO COUNTY YMCA We continue to monitor and follow the latest CDC and Governor recommendations. Under these circumstances our Summer Day Camp will have LIMITED AVAILABILITY and the programming is subject to change. The health and safety of our campers, members, community and staff are our TOP PRIORITY and we THANK YOU for your patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. CAMP SAKARI: Meaning = Sweet Age 4 & 5 (Must be four by May 1, 2020 & potty-trained.) For our youngest campers first summer camp experience we offer this structured and creative camp focusing on building independence. Games, activities and crafts change each week to support our theme. Time is spent at the Y with swimming in our pool and outside on our playground and under our Pavilion. CAMP KEOONIK: Meaning = Otter Completed grades 2 - 3 Keoonik is a native word for Otter. RSU 71 Lunch program Monday - Thursday:

In partnership with RSU 71 and the Maine Department of Education, the Waldo County YMCA will be offering FREE LUNCH Monday - Thursday for all weeks of Summer Camp! Lunch includes a sandwich, tow healthy sides and a drink. Each day, campers will be asked for their lunch choice.

Cookout Fridays: Fridays end the week with our traditional YMCA hosted cookout. It has been a highlight of the week for many years as the Y staff join in to serve hot dogs, watermelon, pretzels and popcorn. The Y provides all the food for Friday cookouts.

Enrollment Forms: All campers must complete a registration packet even if your child has participated in prior camps or any school year activities.

Payments: For Camp fees automatic payments with a credit/debit card will be drafted on Fridays. Annual memberships at the YMCA must be paid in full at sign-up or by monthly automatic payment using a debit or credit card. Three month memberships must be paid in full at sign-up.

Refunds: Membership fees are neither refundable nor transferable. Program fees may be refundable prior to the start of a session with the exception of non-refundable deposits.

Sunscreen will be reapplied throughout the day. Please apply sunscreen to your camper BEFORE morning camp drop off. You will be asked if you applied sunscreen when you sign your camper in for the day. Please label all items your child brings to camp and check our lost and found for missing items. Please do not allow campers to bring electronics devices. We want this to be an outdoor experience. We will have quiet time where we will play board games, do arts & crafts, play cards and invent some games. Please do not send cell phones to camp with your children. If there is an emergency, we will contact you.

Positive Attitude Swim Suit & Towel (googles are always popular too)

Water Bottle Sneakers - sandals are okay; flip flops are not permitted

Snacks - Morning & Afternoon Sunscreen - please apply BEFORE morning drop off

Personal Floatation Device (PFD). For children who cannot swim, a proper fitting PFD is required.

In consideration for being permitted to utilize the facilities, services, and programs of the Waldo County YMCA (hereinafter referred to as “YMCA”) for any purpose, including but not limited to observation or use of facilities or equipment, or participation in any program affiliated with the YMCA, without respect to location, the undersigned, for himself or herself and any personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, hereby acknowledges, agrees and represents that he or she has, or immediately upon entering or participating will inspect and carefully consider such premises and facilities or the affiliated program. It is further warranted that such entry into the YMCA for observation or use of any facilities or equipment or participation in such affiliated program constitutes an acknowledgement that such premises and all facilities and equipment thereon and such affiliated programs have been inspected and carefully considered and that the undersigned finds and accepts same as being safe and reasonably suited for the purpose of such observation, use, or participation.

IN FURTHER CONSIDERATION OF BEING PERMITTED TO ENTER THE YMCA FOR ANY PURPOSE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO OBSERVATION OR USE OF FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT, OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY PROGRAM AFFILIATED WITH THE YMCA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO LOCATION, THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:

THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE the YMCA, its directors, officers, employees, and agents (hereinafter referred to as “releasees”) from all liability to the undersigned, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefor on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of the undersign, whether caused by negligence of the releasees of otherwise while the undersigned is in, upon, or about the premises or any facilities or equipment therein, or participating in any program affiliated with the YMCA, without respect to location.

THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned in, upon, or about the YMCA premises or in any way observing or using any facilities or equipment of the YMCA or participating in any program affiliated with the YMCA.

THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE while in, about, or upon the premises of the YMCA and/or while using the premises or any facilities or equipment thereon or participating in any program affiliated with the YMCA.

THE UNDERSIGNED further expressly agrees that the forgoing RELEASE, WAIVER AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Maine and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

As applicable per program participation: √ I hereby authorize the employees of the YMCA to call emergency medical assistance and/or perform basic first-aid procedures that are necessary in the judgment of the YMCA. I hereby authorize qualified medical personnel to administer necessary anesthesia and medical treatment in the event of an accident. I understand that I am encouraged to discontinue any activity at any time I feel unable to continue. √ I hereby authorize the YMCA to use photos and/or videos in promotional activities. √ I hereby authorize the employees of the YMCA to administer medication. Important: medications can only be administered with the medication in the prescription bottle. Without the Physicians name and prescription on the label we cannot administer medications. √ I hereby authorize the employees of the YMCA to assist in the application of Sun Block when necessary. √ I hereby authorize the qualified employees (over the age of 21) of the YMCA to transport by bus or personal vehicle. √ I hereby grant my child permission to attend field trips with the YMCA during the school year. Information will be sent home prior to each trip.
