continUoUSimprovement program (cip)
n proposals submitted in the context of the cipn cost saving in €
each of the 700 employees of our company participates,as a member of a group, in the continuous improvementprogram. this process was introduced in 1996. the groupsmeet regularly at their place of work so that they can present and implement their ideas and improvement suggestions in familiar surroundings. if these ideas are successfully implemented, the employees are rewarded within the framework of the employee suggestions system.
each group includes a trained speaker and is supported by coaches in order to ensure quick implementation. in addition, the employee suggestion system makes sure that all employees are involved in the active implementation of environmental objectives. in this manner the company has set up an important forum for ideas for ecological and economic development.

» effectiveness over efficiency
less bad is not good enough. you don't create useful products just by reducing harmful substances. environmental effectiveness is about doing the right thing. So you can actually leave a large footprint with a clear conscience.
» Waste = food
the cradle to cradle™ concept avoids any waste. like in nature, all substances remain a closed circuit. cradle to cradle™ print products by gugler* were optimized for recycling. the sludge created in the process can re-enter the biological cycle.
» not a single health risk
all ingredients of the cradle to cradle™ print products were analysed in collaboration with the environmental research institute epea. they meet the highest requirements in terms of health compatibility, such as allergy risks etc. even the ash of incinerated print products can be safely disposed in a kitchen garden.
