We will review both surgical and prosthetic clinical pearls for achieving an ideal esthetic outcome. Patient expectations are important to the success of the case. Knowing what they are may not always be what you think. The attendee will also develop a deeper understanding of why complications occur and how to avoid them. Learning Objectives: • Review the latest surgical innovations to reconstruct deficient alveolar ridges • Describe proven methods to increase vertical height • Understand esthetic requirements to achieve successful results • Appreciate that the patients and our perceptions are not the same • Discuss the latest ceramic materials and where and when they should be used Presented by Dr. Dan Pompa and Dr. Arthur Volker Dr. Daniel Pompa is a Fellow of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is also a Fellow of The International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Pompa has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, New York University College of Dentistry and the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally and in 2013 became a Seminar Series Speaker/Consultant for the American Dental Association. Dr. Pompa is an author, having published in such journals as JADA and the NYSAGD Journal as well as Dentistry Today where he has been listed as a “Leader in Continuing Education.” Dan is also an inventor, having been issued a U.S. Patent for his innovative work in the field of Dental Implantology. PRESENTER BIOGRAPHIES Dr. Arthur Volker graduated from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He is the Chairman of the New Dentist Committee and a member of the Continuing Education Committee for the New York State Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Volker is a Diplomate of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American College of Dentists. Dr. Volker has published articles and lectures on such topics as cosmetic dentistry, minimally invasive dentistry, dental materials and dental implants.
