CDC1 – “the fastest growing drug problem in America” 3 in 4 prescription overdosed are due to Rx/opiate pain
killers. 300% increase in pain Rx overdose deaths since 1999. 14,800 deaths attributed to opiates, more than cocaine
and heroin combined. > 475,000 emergency room visits in 2009 – double that
just 6 years earlier.
