three current Boston Bar RCMP officers.

RCMP in the last year. That is 1.37 tickets per day on average.

A Special Community Service Award was presented to former Director

Lloyd Forman by our guest MLA Laurie Throness and BBNBES Chair,

Lori Walters, commending Lloyd for his many accomplishments during his

years of service to the people of our community. The list of Lloyd’s accom-

plishments over the last several years is long and impressive and he con-

tinues to be very involved; always working hard on our behalf.

Thank you Lloyd for all that you have done for all of us and for

your ongoing efforts to make Boston Bar a nicer place to live!

After 10 years, our Queen of May Days, Shirley

Crow, is stepping down, offering only these words:

“It’s time”.

A Washtock girl born and raised here in Boston Bar,

Shirley left our community as a young woman and

enjoyed many exciting years working in the entertain-

ment industry in Vancouver, managing “Club Soda”,

the home-away-from-home to many famous rock &

roll bands. With that amazing experience under her

belt, she returned to a quieter life in Boston Bar with

her late husband Bobby Crow several years ago.

Eventually she took on the “May Day Job” and was

instrumental in bringing our small town 10 fabulous

years of first class entertainment, as well as serving

as our annual Parade Marshall.

With her admirable hands-on technique, Shirley has

successfully managed each year’s “May Days” event

from start to finish. She has been a hardworking

leader and we’ll miss her unique approach to magi-

cally getting everything done in time! As she departs

from this position, we know she will be a hard act to

follow and I suspect whoever takes the May Day

reins from her hands, will be in close contact with

Shirley Crow when May Days 2016 comes around—

seeking her expertise, guidance, and wisdom!

Thank you Shirley, for all that you have done for

the people of our community!
