SAN FRANCISCO TREAT: The Dodgers take on the Giants in
the rubber match of their three-game series at AT&T Park
following yesterday’s 5-4 loss in 10 innings, which dropped Los
Angeles to 4.0 games behind San Francisco in the NL West.
Following tonight’s game, the Dodgers will fly to Phoenix, where
they will conclude their six-game road trip with three games against
the D-backs Monday-Wednesday.
The Dodgers and Giants have already played three extra-
inning games (1-2) and five one-run games (2-3) through
their first nine meetings. Los Angeles is 4-5 against San
Francisco this year, including a 2-4 mark at AT&T Park.
A win today would give the Dodgers their first series win
at San Francisco since Sept. 12-14, 2014, when they won
two of three games.
The Dodgers will be making their fourth appearance of the
season on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball (2-1).
HILLTOPPERS: The Dodgers have won 12 of their last 19
games, mostly thanks to a strong performance by the club’s
pitching staff:

DEMANDING A RECOUNT: The latest National League All-

players need the fans’ help, as only one Dodger (Adrián González,
3rd
at 1B) was among the NL vote leaders. Fans can vote for starters
a total of 35 times with the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game
Ballot online at Dodgers.com/vote, including a maximum of five
valid ballots cast in any 24-hour period. Voting ends Thursday,
June 30 at 8:59 p.m.

MILESTONE WATCH: Dodger infielder Chase Utley has 35
runs scored on the season and, with 998 runs in his career, is
closing in on scoring 1,000-career runs, a feat that has been
accomplished by just 323 Major Leaguers. Utley’s 35 runs rank
third in the National League among leadoff hitters.
Adrián González went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and
two RBI yesterday as he approaches two career
milestones, entering today’s game just four home runs shy
of 300 and seven doubles away from 400. He would
become just the seventh active player to reach both marks,
joining Alex Rodriguez, Adrian Beltre, Carlos Beltran,
Albert Pujols, David Ortiz and Miguel Cabrera.
ON THE REHAB TRAIL: Brandon McCarthy (Tommy John
surgery) made his first rehab start yesterday for Single-A Rancho

player days on the DL. Sixteen different Dodgers have
spent time on the DL this season. – Source: Stats, LLC.

in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft yesterday and with their 42 total
picks, the club took 23 pitchers (21 right-handers, two left-
