Martin Stanley joined PEFAC as a member in 2008 after hearing from his wife,
Shauna about the swimming instructor, Ray. Martin joined and began swimming
with the Masters which he still does today, with instructor Jim Anfield. Not long
after joining, he was approached and invited to a meeting regarding the Board of
Directors. Martin joined the PEFAC Board of Directors and has been a member of the Board since.
Martin`s advice to the Board and contributions to PEFAC are extensive and invaluable, particularly
in the areas of technology, contracts, regulations, insurance and governance.
You can find Martin in the Pool, with the Masters classes or working out in the Weight Room.
Martin loves seeing all the chatting and camaraderie amongst the members. He loves how PEFAC
has turned in to a facility that truly promotes a friendly atmosphere with staff and members and
how community oriented the organization is.
Martin has been living in the County since 1990, and raised two kids here. Martin has a Masters in
Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelors in Sociology. In the past Martin
ran two companies in Woodworking and Software. Today, Martin is a Founder in a Robotics start
up Company: Independent Robotics. Recently, Martin has began travelling in the Winter months
but keeps up his role on the Board while away.
We are very happy that Martin chose PEFAC many years ago, and we are thankful to have
someone with such
skills and understanding as part of the Board of Directors.
Thank you Martin for all of your hard work and commitment to PEFAC!

A message from Hollie & Sydnee: After a year, Hollie has decided to step down as Marketing Liaison to pursue her Energy
Work. Hollie will be staying on to continue with Group Fitness.
PEFAC is very excited to announce that Sydnee Mulridge will be taking on the role of
Marketing Liaison. Sydnee is eager to be accepting this new role at the facility. She will be
staying on as Children`s Program Coordinator and you will continue to see her in her
usual desk and aquatics positions.
Sydnee graduated from Loyalist College 2016 with a Child and Youth Counselors Diploma.
She has a passion for working with children and interacting with people of all ages. An avid
traveler, Sydnee has been to five countries and plans on seeing many more as she feels there
is much to learn from seeing the world. She hopes to put her interpersonal skills to
good use in this new venture.
